The Town of Florence has announced the 2012 Holiday Schedule for garbage pickup.  Throughout the year, the holidays can affect the day that your garbage is picked up by the Public Works Department.  The list below shows the dates that garbage service is not provided and the alternate date that you can expect garbage service.

• New Years Day, Monday, January 2^nd, no residential garbage service.  Monday’s and Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday, January 3^rd.

• Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 16^th, no residential garbage service.  Monday’s and Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday, January 17^th.

• President’s Day, Monday, February 20^th, no residential garbage service.  Monday’s and Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday, February 21^st.

• Memorial Day, Monday, May 28^th, no residential garbage service, Monday’s and Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday, May 29^th.

• Independence Day, Wednesday, July 4^th, Business garbage will be picked up on Wednesday, July 4^th.

• Labor Day, Monday, September 3^rd, no residential garbage service.  Monday’s and Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday, September 4^th.

• Columbus Day, Monday, October 8^th, no residential garbage service.  Monday’s and Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday, October 9^th.

• Veteran’s Day, Town Holiday Monday, November 12^th, residential garbage service.  will be picked up on Tuesday, November 13^th.

• Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22^th, no residential garbage service.  Thursday’s and Friday’s routes will be picked up on Friday, November 23^rd.

• Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25^th, no residential garbage service.  Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Wednesday, December 26^th

• New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1, 2013, no residential garbage service.  Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s routes will be picked up on Wednesday, January 2^nd.
