The Town of Florence cordially invites you to the Florence Internet of Things Cyber Security Symposium on June 19th, 2019 from 11:00AM to 3:30PM.

The Internet of Things is comprised of a largely diverse range of device types—from small to large, simple to complex, consumer gadgets to sophisticated systems, even utilities and industrial/manufacturing systems. Until recently, security has not been a high priority for these devices.

With keynotes by Kiran Zachariah of Subex, and Petra Dalunde of the Electrum Foundation, the symposium will feature panel discussions with leading experts covering topics of Cyber Security, Internet of Things, and public-private partnerships for effective and secure solutions.

Additional items include launching the Smart Cities Security Whitepaper, unveiling of the new IoT lab at the Florence Community Library, and an experience zone. Lunch will be served during the event.
