Come to the library and community center at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 3 for the Florence Community Library’s monthly movie discussion.  This month, we will discuss historical dramas, followed by a free screening of an acclaimed recent movie!

Historical period dramas – sometimes referred to as “costume dramas” – are movies that feature elaborate, usually authentic costumes and sets to recreate a period of history.  These frequently revolve around major historical events and figures, particularly British and European royalty.  Join us for a brief discussion that will encompass some of the more noteworthy examples of this genre.  The presentation will be followed by a free showing of a critically acclaimed 2017 movie.

Popcorn and water will be available to all while supplies last.  You are encouraged to bring snacks and soft drinks to the show.
