Increasingly warm temperatures turn our thoughts to summer and swimming at the Florence Aquatic Center.

Our official opening for the first full swim season is Water Safety Day on Saturday, April 30 from noon until 5:00 p.m. Included is open swim, swim lesson testing, water rescue demonstrations, registration for various aquatic programs and representatives with water safety information. Florence Fire Department will also be present.

The Aquatic Center will then be open from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. starting Sunday, May 1 and every Saturday and Sunday in May.

Some important aquatic dates to remember include Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 8 when one adult mother is admitted free for every paid child admission. Since school will be out on Friday, May 27, the aquatic center will be open 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. That is also the first night of our Summer Teen Night. Beginning May 27th and on the last Friday of each month from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the aquatic center is open to youth 12 to 18 years old for open swim, music and games.
