Calling superheroes, zombies, witches, wizards, and aliens of all ages! Saturday, July 8, the library will hold its first-ever Florence Community Library ComiCon, with a host of activities that are free and open to the public.

The library will hold programs from Noon – 4 pm. Come in costume to enter a Cosplay Competition, with Summer Reading prizes available for winners in all age groups! Children and families can enjoy superhero and science fiction themed Family Storytimes. Take in our Crafts to design your own mask or Harry Potter wand. Sit down for a recent movie open to all ages, or enjoy gaming on one of multiple systems that will be set up!

We will have a photo area available, featuring life-sized character standups and backdrops. Special costumed guests may also be available for photo ops and program participation – including the Tucson Zombies, who will provide airbrushed, water-based superhero tattoos free to patrons while supplies last!

Regular library services will be available during the day of the ComiCon. Library patrons are advised to expect increased noise and activity on this date, and asked to please plan accordingly.
