Florence, Arizona is the number one city “On the Rise” in Arizona, according to NerdWallet.
According to their website (nerdwallet.com), “Florence topped our list for its broad-based strength across a variety of economic indicators. From 2009 to 2012, its working-age population jumped more than 30%, its income grew 32% and median income rose a healthy 15%.” It also cites the Town of Florence’s award winning Territory Square plan as an impetus for future economic and engineering opportunities.
NerdWallet analyzed 56 cities in Arizona, with populations above 4,000, and ranked them in terms of economic indicators, including population growth, employment growth, and income growth. Florence earned top honors. Queen Creek and Surprise rounded out the top three. The news was posted to their website on August 5, 2014.
