Visitors to Florence Parks and Recreation Department’s “Freedom Fest” will enjoy hours of great music performed by “The Big Zephyr,” a variety band.

The event, scheduled at Heritage Park on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 will feature the music of Alan Jackson, Johnny Cash, Faith Hill, Brooks & Dunn, Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The Big Zephyr will perform on stage from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Freedom Fest activities begin at 12:00 p.m. at the Florence Aquatic Center located at 174 West First Street. Open swim lasts until 5:00 p.m. The Parks and Recreation Department has again partnered with the Florence Unified School District to host a back to school drive. To enter the Aquatic Center the public is encouraged to bring new or gently used backpacks and school supplies, which will be donated to FUSD.

The fun at Heritage Park starts at 3:00 p.m. and includes Corn Hole and Mud Volleyball Tournaments, bingo, and inflatables for the kids.

Freedom Fest is co-sponsored by Apache Gold and E & JC Heating and Cooling.
