The Town of Florence has announced the 2013 Holiday Schedule for garbage pickup.  Throughout the year, the holidays can affect the day that your garbage is picked up by the Public Works Department.  The list below shows the dates that garbage service is not provided and the alternate date that you can expect garbage service.

• New Years Day, Tuesday, January 1^st, no residential garbage service. Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Wednesday, January 2^nd.
  
  
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 21^st, no residential garbage service. Monday’s and Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday, January 22^nd.
  
  
• Presidents' Day, Monday, February 18^th, no residential garbage service. Monday’s and Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday, February 19^th.
  
  
• Memorial Day, Monday, May 27^th, no residential garbage service, Monday’s and Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday, May 28^th.
  
  
• Independence Day, Thursday, July 4^th, no residential garbage service, Thursday and Friday's routes will be picked up on Friday, July 5^th.
  
  
• Labor Day, Monday, September 2^nd, no residential garbage service. Monday’s and Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday, September 3^rd.
  
  
• Columbus Day, Monday, October 14^th, no residential garbage service. Monday’s and Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday, October 15^th.
  
  
• Veterans Day, Town Holiday Monday, November 11^th, residential garbage service. Monday's and Tuesday's routes will be picked up on Tuesday, November 12^th.
  
  
• Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28^th, no residential garbage service. Thursday’s and Friday’s routes will be picked up on Friday, November 29^th.
  
  
• Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25^th, commercial garbage service only.
  
  
• New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1, commercial garbage service only.
