Speaking at a Council Meeting
Unscheduled Public Appearance (Call to the Public) - If you would like to speak to the Council regarding an item on the agenda or an item within the Town’s jurisdiction, fill out a Public Comment card located at the back of the Council Chambers and hand it to the Town Clerk prior to the Council Meeting. Be sure to state your name for the public record. Limit your comments to three minutes.
Council will not take action on items that are not listed on the agenda. If items require Council action, the item is placed on a future Council Agenda.
Scheduled Public Appearance - In order to be placed on a Council meeting agenda, you must send a request in writing to the Town Clerk. The request needs to be received at least one full week prior to the Council meeting. The request should state who wishes to appear, their address and phone number, the specific topic or issue to be addressed, and any supporting information that may be relevant. Council may take any appropriate action on items scheduled on the agenda.
