A series of historical lectures, with emphasis on Florence continues this month as the town continues to celebrate its 150th anniversary. The Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with AZ Humanities to present the lecture series.

All the lectures are free, begin at 6:00 p.m. and are held at the Florence Library and Community Center, 778 N. Main Street.

The next lecture is on Thursday, April 14 and titled, Women of the Arizona State Prison presented by Christine Reid. That lecture will be followed on April 28th by How the Supreme Court Judge’s Brother Got Away with Murder, presented by Paul Heitter.

These lectures are a great opportunity to learn more about the community.
