Karen Wall: Councilmember

Honorable Karen Wall was appointed to the Town Council on June 1, 2015 to complete the term of a vacated seat.

Since moving to Arizona from Sacramento, California, in 2007, Mrs. Wall has been active in the Anthem at Merrill Ranch Community. She was a charter member and two-year chairman of the Sun City Neighborhood Representative Committee that was formed to represent residents in each of the neighborhoods. She also served as volunteer coordinator for events and activities in the community. She is active in the Pinal County Republican Committee and serves as a Precinct Committeeman. She received the 2014 Outstanding Party Worker in State award and the 2014 PCRC District 7 PC of the Year award.

Prior to her retirement in 2004, Ms. Wall worked in both public and private sector organizations and was a small business owner of an executive suite company. She joined an international executive suite franchising company and became vice-president of operations, traveling throughout the world to insure compliance with franchise standards as well as negotiating multi-million dollar bulk purchases of communications services and office equipment. Ms. Wall also taught business skills and basic English and math at the community college level and holds a lifetime teaching credential. As a senior manager at E*Trade, an online brokerage firm, she supervised the cash management division responsible for all customer deposits and disbursements valued at over $50 billion annually.

Ms. Wall retired from USAA, a company serving US military families with insurance and financial services, where she served as support services manager. Her pre-retirement civic activities included service on the advisory board of the Tierra del Oro Girl Scout Council, advisory committee member for the San Juan Unified School District and board of directors member of the Point West Area Business Association.

Ms. Wall grew up in northern California where her parents owned Inskip Inn, an historic hotel, bar and restaurant.. She met and married John, her husband of 44 years, in Chico, California, and they have four children and seven grandchildren. She enjoys playing golf, traveling and participating in activities in the Anthem at Merrill Ranch community.
