It will soon be time for spring training baseball and that signals the beginning of Lil’ Tykes T-Ball and Coach Pitch Baseball, presented by Florence Parks and Recreation Department.
Children from ages three years old on up to seven years old (as of April 1) are eligible to play in one of three divisions: Rookie, Junior or Coach Pitch. Games are played on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings beginning April 12th.
There is an early bird resident discount fee of only $35 if paid and registered by Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Thereafter, the registration fee increases to $45 and is due by Wednesday, March 15, 2017. The early bird non-resident fee is $45. Register at the Florence Community Center, 778 N. Main Street or online at www.florenceaz.gov/parks.
Coaches are needed and are invite to attend a meeting on Wednesday, March 21 at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Center. Learn all the details needed to be a volunteer coach.
