Michelle Cordes was elected to the Town Council in the August 28, 2018 Primary Election and began her term on December 3, 2018. She is a Colorado native. She graduated in 1991 from Adams City High School. Upon graduation she attended Arapahoe Community College and earned her Associates in Interior Design, and later attended Regis University for Accounting and Business Management.
Michelle and her husband have been married for 17 years and have two children together, and both have adult children from previous marriages. Michelle moved to Arizona in 2014, looking for warmer weather and no more snow shoveling.
Over the past 20 years, she has been a business owner of a nail salon, and a residential appraisal firm. She currently owns and operates a residential real estate business, something she has done for over 15 years. Michelle and her husband also own an auto transport company.
During her “free” time she volunteers for various groups and charities and serves on a few notable committees and governing boards. She has volunteered for Make-a-Wish Foundation, Colorado CASA, numerous school PTAs, and Say Yes to Prom. She advocates against bullying, was elected president and vice-president of a homeowners association of a golf-course community in Colorado and coached high school cheerleading. She enjoys spending time with family by riding ATVs, hiking and glamping.
