Patrons of all ages are invited to the Florence Community Library to learn about – and see a demonstration of – volcanoes!

Join presenter Mark Carter at the library on Saturday, June 30 at 2:00 pm. Carter will present Pressure Heat Volcanoes, showing off two of the most common volcano demonstrations in a way you’ve never seen before. This is not just your baking soda and vinegar volcano!

Carter will discuss how volcanic pressure creates heat, and will talk about the temperature of lava. He will also provide some facts about volcanoes in Arizona, including where in the state you can visit an extinct volcano!

This program will be held at the Florence Library and Community Center. For more information, or to sign up, please contact the library at (520) 868 – 8311.
