Daily Activities:    

The Senior Center provides weekday activities for local seniors.  Some of the daily activities are crafts, cards, dominoes, computer training, movie matinee, and the crochet/knit club.  These activities change from day to day so please call for more information. 

Transportation:

Transportation is provided for meals, programs, and activities or daily errands.  The van is equipped with a wheelchair life and can be used for daily errands Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 11:30 am.  Registration is required and the cost is 50 cents for a 1-way trips and $1.00 for the Monthly Coolidge trip. 

Social services:

The following social services are assisted throughout the Senior Center:

1. Referrals: We maintain a reference book on any senior services we are aware of.  The book includes information on Medical, Legal, Housing, Utility, Long Term Care, Nursing Homes, Assisted Living, Transportation and many other senior topics.  It is located on the front counter and available for use any time.  Ask staff to assist you in locating your area of need. 

2. Senior Food Stamps:  Mondays 8:00 - 4:00 a.mn. and Tuesdays from 8:00 - 12:00 a.m. a food stamp representative is available to assist seniors in filling out food stamp application.

3. Food Boxs:  2nd. Tuesday of Each Month @ 9:30 a.m.  United Food Bank food boxes are distributed.  There is not qualifying or income requirements.  The boxes are for all ages.  We distribute 300 box.  They are all on a 1st come 1st serve basis.  If you are physically unable to pick your up, we will deliver it, to seniors only!

4. C.A.H.R.A: Community Action Human Resource Agency, schedules appointments on the 1st Friday of each month.  The agency assist low income seniors and persons with utility help, housing rehab & weatherization.  Call 466-1112 to make an appointment.
