The Florence Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce that it is now offering the SilverSneakers Classic exercise class. This award-winning program is the nation’s leading fully-funded Medicare exercise program tailored specifically to the Medicare-eligible population.

Functional improvement is the focus of this creative multi-level conditioning class. Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

The class is FREE to SilverSneakers members. It is also available to non-SilverSneakers members at the low cost of $20 per month for residents of Florence; $25 per month for non-residents; and just $5 per class for drop-ins. The class will be held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Fitness Center on 133 N. Main St.

Register early as there is a 12 person limit to this class!
