The Florence Community Library invites patrons of all ages to enjoy a one-week “Fab Lab” of tech-related creative activities!
The Pinal County Education Services Agency (ESA)’s grant-funded “Fab Lab” will be at the library the week of September 24 – 28. A variety of activities will be available, all related to STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Use a 3D printer to create a keychain; etch a design on metal; take a virtual reality tour or, in a group, create one; and print a design onto a plain T-shirt (please bring your own T-shirt for this activity).
Sessions will be held Monday, Sept. 24 – Thursday, Sept. 27 at 5:30 pm, with ESA representatives on hand to guide participants through using the equipment. The entire lab will be available Friday, Sept. 28, from Noon – 4:00, giving everyone a chance to use any of the technology that interests them.
