Honorable Thomas Celaya born and raised in Florence; is married to wife Tracey. They have three children; Thomas, Amanda, and Steven. Mr. Celaya is a graduate of the Florence Unified High School, class of 1982 and The Florence Leadership Academy. In addition, he has attended Yavapai Community College, and Central Arizona College, ASU’s Newly Elected Officials Training Program and is currently attending ASU’s Certified Public Management Program. He is employed with Pinal County Facilities Management Department.

Mr. Celaya was appointed to the Florence Town Council in January 2004. He was elected to a term which expires in June 2010. As a member of the Council, he serves as a liaison to the Historic District Advisory Commission and the Downtown Redevelopment Commission. Mr. Celaya has also served on the following boards and committees: Former Florence Little League Board member, Florence Leadership Academy Board, Pinal County Safety Rodeo Committee, Pinal County Safety and Security Committee, Pinal County OSHA Safety Training Committee, Florence Utility Rate Committee, Focus Future II Action Team Member.

He has also assisted with community youth recreation programs such as Florence/Coolidge Youth Football and Florence Little League. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his family, attending his children’s events, music, golfing, and hunting.
