The Florence Fire Department will continually seek ways to reevaluate how we provide our service in an effort to be more efficient, more adaptable and more responsive to the needs of our community.
OUR COMMUNITY
The Town of Florence is located in central Pinal County and was founded in 1866. The county seat, Florence is about 45 minutes away from the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas.
The rich history of Florence rivals many of the more famous “old west” towns with numerous historic landmarks including a great historic downtown area and the final resting place of Charles D. Poston, the Father of Arizona, at the summit of Poston Butte. The additional mixture of correctional and National Guard facilities along with the fast growing Anthem and Sun City areas exemplifies the vibrant and diverse nature of our community.
Florence is home to several special events each year including the County Thunder U.S.A. music festival, the Junior Parada (the world’s oldest junior rodeo), and the Tour of Historic Florence. World class outdoor recreational areas abound including Box Canyon, Martinez Canyon, the old Silverbell Mine, the Coke Ovens and many other sites around Florence providing residents and visitors with fantastic scenic views and an opportunity to hike, explore, off-road, or otherwise enjoy the Sonoran Desert.
OUR COMMITMENT
It is our commitment to you that we stand ready to assist you in your time of need day or night, with compassion, professionalism, respect and dignity. The Florence Fire Department is customer service oriented. For over a century, the Florence Fire Department has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property in our community.
