Community Workshop #3
Wednesday, March 9th, 2022
Florence Community Center
778 N. Main Street, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
The Town of Florence is nearing the end of its General Plan update process and the 60-Day Review Draft of the 2022 General Plan is now available. The review period is open from January 19, 2022 – March 20, 2022. The public is encouraged to share their opinions, concerns, and desires for the future of Florence.
The General Plan addresses a wide variety of issues including land use, transportation, housing, recreation, historic preservation, water resources and economic development. Arizona Revised Statutes require communities to update their General Plans every 10 years. The Town’s current General Plan was last comprehensively updated and approved by Florence residents in 2011.
The General Plan Update will enable the Town to refine the community’s long-range vision to maintain and enhance the quality of life within Florence. Because the General Plan establishes a community-based vision for Florence’s future, your involvement is vital to its development.
