Florence, AZ – The Town of Florence is excited to announce that we have partnered with SeeClickFix to launch a new citizen request and reporting tool called Florence Works4U! This free mobile and web-based application will allow Florence citizens to report a variety of non-emergency requests for service which contain pictures, specific descriptions, and other important information directly to Town staff.
Using SeeClickFix, Florence residents can request action on many common requests such as park maintenance items, street light repairs, water and sewer concerns, code compliance issues, illegal dumping, debris on roadways, and many others. In addition, SeeClickFix will provide a centralized, public-facing request management system that will enable the Town to effectively and transparently manage citizen requests while engaging with residents throughout the process.
Speaking to the benefits of the Town’s new SeeClickFix platform, Mayor Tara Walter added, “I really like that Florence Works4U is a community-driven tool that enhances communication and participation with our community. Submitting a request is quick and easy and the app puts you in direct contact with the department best suited to responds to your issue”.
This partnership will not only allow Florence residents to report issues, but users who create a profile can also track the status of their requests as well as view and comment on requests submitted by their neighbors and other SeeClickFix users. Citizens can even create their own “watch areas” to receive notifications regarding all the issues reported in their part of Town.
The Florence Works4U mobile app will be available for download on Android and iPhone in mid-August. In the meantime, the Town would like to encourage all of our residents to download the standard SeeClickFix app and search for the Town of Florence. In addition to the mobile apps, residents can submit requests online by using the Town’s website, https://www.florenceaz.gov/florenceworks4u/, or by visiting https://seeclickfix.com/florence.
About SeeClickFix (by CivicPlus)
SeeClickFix was founded in 2008 to empower citizens with tools to publicly document quality of life concerns in their community. By radically improving the quantity and quality of this data, SeeClickFix was quickly adopted by many local governments who needed a better way to receive feedback and information from their residents.
This exchange helped to build one of the largest request management networks in the world — upon which public agencies and engaged residents can work together to improve their communities. As of today, SeeClickFix has partnered with more than 600 governmental organizations, promoted the engagement of hundreds of thousands of citizens, and has helped facilitate the resolution of more than 10 million requests for service.
