Florence makes a Difference is going virtual. We are excited for this year’s Florence Makes a Difference Day. COVID19 cannot stand in the way of making a difference and contributing to your community! This year on Saturday, February 6th, you are challenged to make a difference in your community. We will have roll-off-dumpsters at the Anthem Fire Station for those in and around this part of Florence and another at the Library and Community Center parking lot. A few project ideas include.

  • Pick up trash around your property and disposing of those items at the Roll-Off located at the Library and Community Center Parking Lot and Florence Fire Station #2
  • Picking up trash around your neighborhood.
  • Donating your unwanted clothes or items to a donation center.
  • Donating unwanted nonperishable food items to a local food bank.
  • Painting motivational rocks and spreading them throughout the town.
  • Creating Valentine’s Day cards for Senior Citizens that can be dropped off at the Library and Community Center book drop. (cards will be delivered to local seniors who participate in the Meals on Wheels program.

The opportunities are endless. Pick a project that you have always wanted to complete within the community and go for it! Be sure to share pictures of you making a difference in your community by using #FlorenceMakesADifference.
