Florence, AZ – The Florence Police Department has been awarded two grants from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for Fiscal Year 2025. The department received $10,000 for traffic enforcement, focusing on identifying aggressive driving behaviors, taking enforcement actions, and maintaining visibility to deter speeding and aggressive driving.
The second $10,000 grant will be used for DUI/Impaired Driving High Visibility Enforcement overtime, allowing the department to participate in DUI Task Force details and saturation patrols in Pinal County. This funding also enables the Florence Police Department to achieve its goal of educating the public about safe driving and providing opportunities for prevention through outreach programs.
