History is rolling into Florence on Sunday, March 1, 2026, as the America Arizona 250 Traveling Museum makes its official stop at The Viney Jones Library and Community Center from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Led by the Arizona America250 Commission, the statewide tour will visit all 15 Arizona counties in the lead-up to the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Visitors can explore hands-on exhibits highlighting American history alongside Arizona’s past, present, and future. The centerpiece of the exhibit is Arizona’s replica Liberty Bell, which is touring the state before being permanently placed at the Arizona State Capitol.
The Florence stop will also feature representation from several local and state organizations, including the Department of Forestry and Fire Management, Pinal County Historical Museum, McFarland State Historic Park, and the Time Capsule Foundation. Community members will have the opportunity to submit an application to include their DNA in the official State Time Capsule – creating a lasting connection to Arizona’s story.
Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy music, food, vendor booths, and family-friendly activities designed to educate, inspire, and bring the community together.
As one of Arizona’s oldest and most historically significant communities, Florence provides a meaningful backdrop for this statewide celebration. The Town invites residents and visitors alike to stop by, explore the exhibits, and be part of this milestone moment.
Admission is free and open to the public.
