Florence, AZ – The Town of Florence is proud to announce the 39th Annual Home Tour, taking place on Saturday, February 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This signature event provides a rare opportunity to step inside some of Florence’s most iconic and historic homes and buildings, offering a glimpse into the rich stories and architecture that have shaped the community.
Mayor Keith Eaton highlighted the importance of the event, stating, “Florence’s 39th Annual Home Tour is a celebration of history and community that brings our town’s rich heritage to life. This year’s theme, ‘Florence! Where History Shapes the Present,’ invites you to explore the remarkable stories behind the homes and buildings that define our unique and historic community. I encourage you to join us, stroll through our Historic Downtown District, and experience the people and charm that make Florence truly special.”
This year’s tour features 15 historic properties, including the George A. Brown House, which served as a Wells Fargo office during a period of stagecoach robberies in the late 19th century. Built in 1875, the adobe structure has undergone unique adaptations over the years, making it a fascinating highlight of the tour. Other featured sites include the Silver King Hotel, Chapel of the Gila, Woman’s Club of Florence, and several other significant landmarks that showcase the town’s enduring legacy.
Throughout the day, attendees can also enjoy live entertainment, including acoustic country folk music at Jaques Square, an old-time brass band at Windmill Winery, and a vibrant performance by Los Pequeños Ballet Folklorico. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event, with free admission for children 17 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at https://bit.ly/3P4gmGL or in person at the Florence Community Center, Florence Visitor Center, and Florence Historical Museum. On the day of the event, ticket redemption will be at Jaques Square, located at 291 N. Main Street.
