Visitors to Town of Florence’s “Freedom Fest” will enjoy hours of great music performed by “Rhythm Edition,” a variety party and dance band. The event, scheduled at Heritage Park on Saturday, July 4th, features the sounds of this Glendale-based nine piece band, which has opened for headliners such as Three Dog Night, the Grass Roots and the Marshall Tucker Band. Rhythm Edition performs on stage from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

The Fourth of July activities begin at 11:00 a.m. at the new Florence Aquatic Center, located at 174 West First Street. Open swim, water games, activities and contests begin the independence celebration up until 5:00 p.m. The fun at Heritage Park starts at 3:00 p.m. and includes Horseshoe, Cornhole and Mud Volleyball Tournaments, bingo, and inflatables for the kids.

Visitors to the event are reminded that outside alcohol is not allowed in the park during the Fourth of July event. However, visitors may bring non-alcoholic beverages.

Freedom Fest is co-sponsored by Country Thunder, Main Street Family Practice, McDonald’s B&D Restaurants, Salt River Project, Holiday Inn Express, Dr. Bence Florence Clinic, National Bank and Belva’s Real Estate.
