Join us for an interactive FRANK Talk at the Florence Community Library!
Friday, January 10 at 5:30 pm, the Florence Community Library hosts an AZ Humanities FRANK Talk, Through My Eyes: The Impact of Implicit Bias. Matthew Whitaker, founder of the ASU Center for the Study of Race and Democracy, will lead this community conversation about “implicit bias,” the unconscious judgments we make about others based on race, ethnicity, age, or appearance. How can we learn to navigate the world we see through our eyes, vs. the world as seen through the eyes of others?
This program is free and open to the public, and will be held at the Florence Library and Community Center. FRANK Talks are made possible by AZ Humanities and by the Arizona State Library, Archives, and Public Records, a division of the Arizona Secretary of State.
