The Florence Community Library’s May movie presentation will look at films about news and news reporting. Come to the library at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 19 for a brief discussion, followed by a FREE showing of an Oscar-nominated movie from last year!
Journalism is a profession that lends itself to movies of all kinds. From zany comedies to cynical dramas, from paranoid conspiracy thrillers to inspiring true stories, there have been no shortage of famous films about news reporters. Join us for an overview of some of the most significant movies of this type, followed by a free showing of a major motion picture from last year.
Popcorn and water will be available free while supplies last. You are welcome to bring snacks and soft drinks to the show!
