Rec on the Go is an assortment of sports equipment designed to keep citizens active during COVID-19. People can call (520) 868-7040 to request which item or items they wish to borrow. Items available include tennis rackets, horseshoes, pickle ball paddle, basketballs, footballs, soccer balls and more. Equipment is available in two-hour increments, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Call (520) 868-7040 to make arrangements.
Poston Butte Preserve “I Spy” Hunt encourages citizens to hike the preserve and take photos of the various items, recreation staff placed throughout the trail. The brightly colored and decorated items are fun to see and photograph. Hikers are encouraged to post their photos on social media, using this hashtag: #FlorenceAZ #FlorenceRec #HomeRec #VirtualRecReality. Heritage Park’s walking trail also contains items of interest and may be photographed and posted using the same hashtag.
