Florence Community Services Department has partnered with Arizona Game and Fish to offer Hunter Education Classes on Tuesday, May 7th to Saturday, May 11th in the Community Center at 778 N. Main Street. The first four days are classroom instruction from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday is range day from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. These classes are designed to promote safe, knowledgeable and responsible hunter conduct, an understanding of wildlife management laws and to encourage the safe handling of firearms. These classes fill up quickly with only 30 spots open for the May dates in Florence. However, only seven spots are currently available.
