Florence, AZ – The Town of Florence is sharing information from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) regarding newly available low-interest federal disaster loans for residents, businesses, and nonprofits impacted by recent storm activity in and around Tempe. Pinal County is included in the disaster declaration, making Florence eligible for assistance.
These loans are intended to support recovery from physical damage and economic losses related to two events: the late-September Gila County flooding and the October 10–13 tropical storm event affecting the Tempe region.
Application Deadlines
- Physical damage loans: January 13, 2026
- Economic injury loans (small businesses): August 14, 2026
Loan Program Details
- Businesses: Interest rates as low as 4%
- Nonprofits: As low as 3.6%
- Homeowners and Renters: As low as 3%
- Loan Terms: Up to 30 years
- Deferred Start: No interest accrues and no payments are due for the first 12 months
