Kyle Wright has earned Power Performer for the month of April 2026. As a key figure in supporting youth programming, Kyle took the lead in organizing a movie night in Padilla Park featuring The Lorax. I stopped by this event and, not to my surprise as I have witnessed Kyle at other events, he was totally enthralled in getting everyone involved in the movie. What I enjoyed most was that Kyle was just as excited about the movie as the kids were.

His energy was transformational and could be witnessed in how the kids were running around with excitement yelling, “The Lorax is coming!” While this joyfulness was occurring, you could see Kyle asking everyone in attendance if they got a bag of chips and other goodies that were provided for the event.

With blankets spread on the ground, adult family members cuddled with their kids and treats in hand, our maestro (Kyle) began an impromptu lead-in to the movie, “How many of you are here to see The Lorax?” The children screamed and raised their hands. With the environment set, Kyle curled up with his family and everyone began to watch the movie, absolutely marvelous!

This is not his first successful event. He spearheaded the R&B Dance, Sweetheart Dance, and was key in helping ensure a triumphant Home Tour. Every one of these events received several citizen commendations. Hats off to Kyle and my choice for Power Performer April 2026.
