The Town of Florence is now seeking homeowners who are interested in participating in a potential Housing Rehabilitation Program.  If enough interest is gathered from residents of the Town of Florence, the Town will seek grant funds to help eligible homeowners address home repair needs.

This is an excellent program for eligible homeowners who do not have the resources available for needed housing repairs.  Generally, the program allows for repairs to homes belonging to low income individuals through a “deferred payment” loan that is 100% forgivable after a period of five to ten years.

“This program not only helps the homeowners, it helps the community as well.  We have many residents who have worked with the Town to successfully rehabilitate their homes,” said Grants Coordinator, Lisa Padilla.

Homeowners who meet the qualifications and are at a loss for how they’re going to pay for necessary home improvements should contact Lisa Padilla, Town of Florence Grants Coordinator, at (520) 868-7513.
