The Florence Fire Department conducts investigations into all fires to determine their origin, cause, and the circumstances surrounding the fire. Our Fire Investigators are certified by the International Association of Arson Investigators and active members of the Pinal County Arson Task Force.
Our Fire Investigators are trained not only in fire investigation techniques but also in evidence collection, interviewing, fraud investigation, and other aspects of criminal investigation. If a fire is accidental in nature, the investigator prepares a report for the property owner to submit to their insurance company. When a fire is intentionally set, the fire investigator carries the investigation through to its conclusion.
