Activities at the Florence Community Library

Moms’ Hands

“Moms’ Hands” meets at the Florence Community Library on Tuesday, December 9 from 10:00 am to Noon.  Join Ms. Rita and Ms. Kaylon for this free adult-craft program.  Children who are accompanied by an adult are also welcome.

A ‘New Year’ is the focus of this month as we plan what crafts and hobbies we prefer for the upcoming year.  Basic supplies are provided.  The Cricut and AccuCut machines are also available.  Children who attend have the opportunity to make their own separate craft along with some play-time.

Limited seating is available, so advance registration is recommended.  Please contact the library at (520) 868-8311 for more information or to sign up.

Family Storytime

The library invites all children and their caregivers for a ‘little’ Christmas fun on Wednesday, December 10, from 10:00 to 10:45 am.  Family Storytime welcomes the Florence High School Drama students.  There is also a special visit by Santa Claus!

The Library is closed from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm so that our employees can enjoy the Employee Christmas Luncheon.

Limited seating is available, so advance registration is recommended.  Please contact the library at (520) 868-8311 for more information or to sign-up.

‘Polar Express’ Party

“All Aboard!”  Join Ms. Rita and Ms. Veronica for an informal reading of the ‘Polar Express’ by Chris Van Allsburg, followed by a treasure hunt, crafts, hot chocolate and cookie decorating on Tuesday, December 16 at 5:30 pm.

Basic supplies are provided, but quantities are limited.  Please RSVP (520) 868-8311, or visit the library to sign-up.
