The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality will be holding a public information meeting on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Florence High School Gymnasium, 1001 South Main Street, Florence, AZ 85132, regarding Curis Resources Inc.’s (Curis) application for a Temporary Individual Aquifer Protection Permit (TIP). Curis has applied for a TIP as allowed by Arizona Administrative Code R18-9-A210. ADEQ is currently reviewing this application but has not yet issued a decision on whether to grant the TIP.
The purpose of this meeting is to inform interested parties about the Curis TIP application, and ADEQ’s review, decision making, and public comment process. This public meeting shall consist of a brief presentation by ADEQ, followed by an opportunity for informal one-on-one discussion with ADEQ staff.
This public meeting is for informational purposes only and is not a forum for formal public comment. ADEQ will hold a formal public hearing to receive public comments regarding the TIP at a later date as required by rule governing the process at R18-9-A210.D.
