Statistics show that a vast majority of car seats are installed incorrectly.  A study conducted in six states in the U.S., including Arizona, showed that 72.6% of car seats inspected had at least one critical misuse.

The Town of Florence Police Department is hosting three events in September to help you ensure your car seats are correctly installed.  Bring your car and car seats to one of the three upcoming events.  Law enforcement personnel will inspect your car seat and offer tips to improve the installation of your car seat, if needed.

In addition, the Florence Police Department will provide demonstrations and check to make sure your car seat is safe and has not been recalled by the manufacturer.

The first event is from 8:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday, September 20th at Fire Station #2, located at 2035 N. Hunt Highway.

The second event is from 8:00am to 3:00pm on Monday, September 22nd at Heritage Park, located at 600 N. Main Street.

The third event is from 8:00am to 3:00pm on Monday, September 29th at the Safeway parking lot, located at 3325 N. Hunt Highway.
