Enjoy an AZ Humanities presentation about the many uses of the agave plant at the Florence Community Library!

Friday, December 6 at 5:30 pm, the library will host Carrie Cannon, ethnobotanist for the Hualapai Tribe.  She will deliver her AZ Humanities presentation, “Mescal Agave Use in Arizona.”  Cannon will discuss the ways in which Native peoples have used the agave plant as a food source, which is still harvested and prepared by many indigenous groups today, and will be available to answer audience questions after her lecture.

This event is free and open to the public, and will be held at the Florence Library and Community Center. For more information, or to sign up, please contact the library at (520) 868 – 8311.
