Now that the school’s holiday break is almost over, the popular Before and After the Bell recreation program will soon begin. Parents who have elementary-aged children and seek a safe and productive atmosphere for their child to play and learn, should consider this program which resumes on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.

The morning and after-school program, is presented by the recreation division of Florence Community Services and is held Mondays through Fridays at Florence K-8 and Anthem K-8 schools. Children in kindergarten through the sixth grade may attend and participate in exercise time, homework assistance, games, crafts and more both before and after school.

Before the Bell is held from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and After the Bell is held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Hours and days of operation follow the Florence Unified School District calendar (excluding holidays and intersessions).

The monthly fee, which must be paid prior to attending, is only $45 per child for residents and $56 for non-residents.

The registration fee may be paid at the Florence Library & Community Center at 778 N. Main Street, Florence Fitness Center at 133 N. Main or online at www.florenceaz.gov/parks.
