Enjoy the music of the Elizabethan era at the Florence Community Library!  On Friday, March 20 at 5:30 pm, the library is hosting Arizona Curriculum Theater’s “Musical Instruments in Shakespeare’s Time.”

Music was rich and vital during William Shakespeare’s life, and that is reflected in his work.  His plays are full of music and musical interludes.  Travel back in time to see, hear and learn about the musical instruments of his day: lute, pipe, tabor, hurdy-gurdy, and shawm, to name a few. Sit back as the performers expertly play each instrument and serenade you with authentic Elizabethan era melodies.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Florence Community Library.  To sign up, or for more information, please contact the library at (520) 868–8311.  Seating is limited, so advance sign-up is strongly recommended!
