The Florence Arts and Culture Commission is still accepting entries for an art exhibit held in conjunction with the Smithsonian Water/Ways exhibit at McFarland State Historic Park.  The “water themed” exhibit is how local artists see “water” in Florence and Pinal County.   The opening reception is on Wednesday, November 28th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Suter House, 270 N. Pinal Street.  The Water/Ways art exhibit runs from Friday, November 30th through Sunday, December 30th.

Each artist may submit up to three pieces and all submissions are to be sent to Community Services Department administrative assistant, Terri Graciano-Bustillos at teresa.graciano@florenceaz.gov.

Wall mounted works must not be larger than 36” x 36” and must be submitted via email.  The exhibit is open to photographers and there is no entry fee.  All submissions are via email which must be in JPG format. The artist’s name, address, telephone number and email address must be included. A list of the artworks submitted must include the title, size and medium.

Works in the show may not be offered for sale at the site but the artist’s business card may be displayed.

The Arts and Culture Commission does not offer insurance for the photographs on exhibition. The site’s standard security procedures will be in use. An indemnification form must be signed by artists for works displayed.

Artist contact information (address, telephone, etc.) is held for contacting selected artists for this exhibit but will not be preserved in the Town database. Email addresses will be added to the Town database for artist contact concerning future exhibits and events. Artists not wishing to be on the email list may unsubscribe when they receive a notification.
