Florence Community Services Department has partnered with Borderlands Produce Rescue to present a series of farmers markets beginning Saturday, November 23rd from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Borderlands is a non-profit organization whose focus is to “rescue” excess produce from growers and distribute to the public at an affordable price. This distribution program is called Produce on Wheels With – Out Waste or POWWOW.   Customers to POWWOW will be able to purchase up to 70 pounds of produce for only $12.00. Each POWWOW will be held in the Aquatic Center/Community Center Parking Lot at 778 N. Main Street. POWWOWs will be held the fourth Saturday of each month through May of 2020 with one exception.
