February is “Love your Library Month” in Florence, and the Florence Community Library is celebrating in several ways.

Library Valentines

The public is invited to stop by the library throughout the month and add a little heartfelt note to the “Love Your Library” display. Cut-out hearts are available at the front desk for you to write down what you love about the library.  We will display them throughout the month.

Family Storytime

Family Storytime invites children of all ages and their caregivers to the library for a half hour of stories, finger plays and fun!  Join Ms. Rita and her friends Wednesdays at 10:00am.  She will read “The Shape of My Heart” by Mark Sperring on February 6th, and share some great literacy tips.  The Valentine’s Party is set for February 13th.

Early Release Day Craft

Want to make a “Special Valentine?” Join us Wednesday, February 13th at 2:00 pm in the upstairs programming room.  All materials will be provided.

Sweet Treats

Check out an item from the library on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, and receive a sweet treat!
