The Florence FURY Competitive Cheer Program, sponsored by the Town of Florence Parks and Recreation Department, competed in the United Sport Association Junior Regional competition on November 22nd. The FURY won first place in their division and is now qualified for the National Competition.
The National Competition is held at Disneyland in Anaheim, California in March, 2015. The girls range from 9 to 14 years old and have been working extremely hard since July, 2014 to earn their right to compete in Anaheim.
All of the uniform and competition fees are paid by the parents and are quite expensive. To help with some of the costs, the FURY is hosting a fundraising booth at the Christmas on Main event on Friday December 5, 2014. The FURY is selling various items and is also offering a 50/50 raffle. Please stop by their booth and help this hard-working team represent Florence at the National Competition.
