The hot summer weather is signaling the beginning of gridiron action. The Town of Florence Parks and Recreation Department is capitalizing on the change in weather by accepting registrations from July 22 to August 16 for its Youth Flag Football League.
Registrations are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Parks and Recreation Department, located at 132 N. Bailey Street or at www.florenceaz.gov/parks.
Boys and Girls ages 6 to 8 can register for the Junior Division. Participants who are ages 9 to 11 are eligible for the Senior Division. The 12 to 14 year old youth can register for the Teen Division. All ages are determined as of August 16, 2013.
There is a fee of $30 per participant, which also includes a t-shirt. League games are scheduled to begin in September on Thursday evenings.
Volunteer coaches are needed for the successful operation of this program.
