This year’s Fourth of July “Freedom Fest” celebration, scheduled for Wednesday, July 4, 2018 includes another Cornhole Tournament. For only $30 per team (ages 18 and up), participants can compete against up to 24 teams at this year’s Freedom Fest at Heritage Park.  Pre-registration is accepted at the Florence Community Center, 778 N. Main Street or by the day of the event by 5:30 p.m. or until 24 teams registered.  The grand prize are two new Cornhole Tournament boards.  Other Freedom Fest details include open swim at the Florence Aquatic Center from noon until 5:00 p.m.  Admission is a new backpack or school supplies, which will be donated to FUSD.  The event shifts to Heritage Park at 5:00 p.m. with several activities including the Mud Volleyball Tournament, bingo and inflatables for the kids.  The Laura Walsh Band will entertain the crowd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., followed by a spectacular fireworks display.  For more information, please call Community Services at (520) 868-7040.
