The public is invited to attend the groundbreaking of the Town’s inaugural Veterans’ Memorial Project. The groundbreaking will take place on Memorial Day, May 27th at 11:00 a.m. on the plaza just south of the Library and Community Center. A short ceremony with guest speakers and elected officials is scheduled. The actual completion and dedication of the project will be announced later by the Florence Community Services Department. Donations are still accepted through the American Legion Post #9 in Florence. The donation form is on the Town web site (www.florenceaz.gov/parks-and-recreation). This form is also available at the Community Center.
