Growing Old with Humor Program at the Library

Come laugh with us as we learn about humor and aging at the Florence Community Library!  On Friday, January 17, at 5:30 pm, the Friends of the Florence Community Library are sponsoring authors and ASU professors Alleen and Don Nilsen, Ph.D., who will present their program “Growing Old with Humor.”   

The Nilsens are co-authors of several books including “The Encyclopedia of 20^th-Century American Humor.”  During their presentation, they will discuss how humor helps people face the challenges of growing old.  They will also talk about the variety of humor that older adults enjoy, show examples of humor enjoyed by old and young alike, and share weblinks to humorous websites.
