We boast an Old West historic downtown with a new town flavor. Florence is surrounded by pristine desert jewels ideal for outdoor adventures such as the Box Canyon and Gila River. The Town of Florence with an approximate population of 27,000 is a rural community between Phoenix and Tucson showcasing many unique locally owned restaurants, stores, and businesses with a nurturing school district that allows our children an opportunity to grow and excel. The Florence Police Department is a small police department that thrives on community involvement and service. We have 31 Police Officers and 10 civilian employees who are committed to Community Oriented Policing and serving the public.

The entire packet consists of the Town of Florence Employment and the AZPOST Personal History/Certification Applications. They must be completed and returned for consideration. Out-of-state Applicants will be required to complete the AZPOST Waiver Process in lieu of attending an academy.
