Jump ball! The Town of Florence Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting registrations for the Junior NBA Youth Basketball League.
Registration is open through October 10 and is accepted Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Parks and Recreation Department, located at 132 N. Bailey Street. You can also register online at www.florenceaz.gov/parks.
Boys and girls ages 6 to 8 years of age can register for the rookie division, participants 9 to 10 years of age are eligible for the junior division, youth ages 11 to 13 years of age can register for the senior division, and teens 14 to 17 years of age are eligible for the teen division. Ages are determined as of October 10, 2014.
The league fee is $31.50 per participant until October 3rd. After October 3rd, the league fee increases to $35. League games begin in November and are held on Saturdays. Some games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
